Research priorities: Development of quality criteria in psychiatric expertise; special topics: forensic opinions on alcohol intoxication, esp. pathological intoxication, expertises concerning personality disorders. Follow-up examinations of persons who had a former psychiatric expertise (social, civil or criminal law); evaluation and assessment of prognostic criteria; problems of expertises with reference to simulation and aggravation.

Clinical work: Ambulatory treatment of mentally disturbed offenders, esp. sexual delinquents. Clinical supervision. Counseling of a forensic therapeutic community.

Teaching and training: Regular lectures and seminars on forensic psychiatry; organization of scientific meetings; trainings in psychiatric expertise; single-case-discussions. Interdisciplinary cooperation and exchange of experience with civil, social and criminal courts.
